XXXTentacion's Mother Accepts His Award for Favorite Soul/R&B Album at AMAs

The late rapper’s debut album, “17,” was voted this year’s Favorite Soul/R&B Album. His mother, Cleopatra Bernard, accepted the AMA on his behalf.

XXXTentacion’s mother was proud and tearful as she accepted her late son’s posthumous American Music Award on Tuesday night.

Up against Khalid’s "American Teen" and SZA’s "CTRL," X’s debut album, "17," was voted this year’s Favorite Soul/R&B Album.

"I’m so nervous, you guys," Cleopatra Bernard said as she took the stage to accept the award on her son’s behalf. "I am honored to accept this award on behalf of my son. I would like to thank the AMAs, his fans and to everyone who made this possible. Thank you, guys, so much. I appreciate it."

X’s posthumous album "17" was released on August 25, 2017. He was shot and killed in South Florida in June of this year. He was 20.
