Women from around the world have shared snaps of their ‘food babies’ after overindulging left them looking bloated.

The trend began after Twitter user ‘ItsJustFatimah’ posted a snap of her swollen tummy and asked if any of her followers ‘imagine being pregnant’.

She received a flood of replies from women proudly showing off pictures of their milkshake and Nandos ‘babies’. 

One woman tweeting under @ChloeMgaffney wrote: ‘Lol I have about 500 pregnancy scare a month but it’s just food’.

Another replied: ‘Lol this thread is such a confidence booster!! Thank God I’m not alone’.

Women from around the world have taken to Twitter to share snaps of their bloated stomachs after a user asked if any imagine themselves pregnant when experiencing the discomfort 

ItsJustFatimah, who has over 3,000 followers on the social platform wrote: ‘I can’t be the only one that gets extremely bloated and starts imagining myself being pregnant??’

She has since received over 69,000 likes for the viral thread in which many people revealed their issues with bloating are caused by eating large meals. 

A number of Twitter users praised the flood of responses to the thread for shedding light on the common inconvenience.

According to the NHS, bloating can also be caused by by overeating, food intolerance, constipation and IBS as well as more serious conditions such as ovarian cancer.
