The sizzling heat seemed to get too much for one woman who stripped off all her clothes and walked through the streets.
Wearing nothing but her shoes and her birthday suit, the woman strode proudly through east London.
While shedding her garments may have helped her cool off a little, the in-the-buff pedestrian still seems a little hot under the collar.
A video of her nude antics shows her shouting at a man as he walks away from her.
It is unclear whether their apparent disagreement is related to her state of undress or a different matter.
The video gained a large amount of traction when it was posted on Twitter by Chibz yesterday.
One sympathetic person suggested the heat may have gone to the women's head, posting: "The sun does that to you sometimes."
Another noted: "She’s walking with mad purpose."
While stripping your clothes off may provide some short term relief, the act's social unacceptability and the associated risk of sunburn places it firmly on the 'ways not to cool down' list.
Other, slightly more surprising entries include putting your pyjamas or bed sheets in the fridge or freezer.
