Since Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum announced their split in April 2018, the two have been moving towards finalizing their divorce.

As they square away all of the details surrounding their divorce, Dewan and Tatum have also asked to have joint custody of their daughter, Everly.

Just recently, Channing Tatum asked the judge to put an official custody agreement in place for him and Jenna Dewan in order for their daughter to have more consistency.

Tatum requests equal visitation

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have been doing all they can to spend an ample amount of time with their daughter now that they have separated.

Since the separation, Everly has been going back and forth between her parents without an official schedule in place.

For this reason, Channing Tatum has asked the judge for an official custody schedule for him and his soon to be ex-wife.

Tatum is asking to have his daughter on Mondays and Tuesdays while Jenna Dewan has Everly on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The actor suggests they alternate weekends and both get to spend every two weeks with their daughter during the summer.

Channing Tatum would like to split up Christmas Eve and Christmas as well as New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

He also suggests that they split birthdays and Halloween if they cannot agree on spending those days together as a family.

The actor is making arrangements with work

Since both Tatum and Dewan have very busy work schedules, the actor has already made the necessary arrangements so that he is not busy on the days he has Everly.

Tatum has stated, “I am committed to spending my custodial periods with Everly.”

When it comes to traveling for work, Channing Tatum has asked the judge to allow Everly to travel around the United States with at least one parent. This reason being that both Tatum and Dewan have family all around the country and they want Everly spending time with them.

As for international travel, one parent needs to get permission from the other in order to take Everly out of the country.

Everly is still adjusting

Tatum feels as though his daughter has adjusted to the separation exceptionally well and believes that she would be better living ‘with structure and consistency because she is happy and more relaxed when she knows a plan.’

Though Everly lives with both Dewan and Tatum, the four-year-old has had a very structured home life so far.

Since splitting from Jenna Dewan, Channing Tatum has been renting a home and decorated Everly’s room with all of her fairytale favorites.

The actor also had an obstacle course built in his back yard and loves playing games with his little girl.

Jenna Dewan also wants Everly to feel comfortable with the split and wants to find a common ground she and Tatum are comfortable with.

“We look forward to resolving these matters in a timely and straightforward way,” Dewan’s lawyer, Samantha Spector, said in a statement. “Nothing in the world matters more to Jenna than the comfort and well-being of her daughter Everly. Everything Jenna has done and will continue to do is with that in mind.”

Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum have no bad blood between them and have remained civil towards one another.

Both actors have begun dating other people and are very happy in their new relationships.

Dewan and Tatum are in the process of finalizing their divorce and once that is complete, they will finally have a set custody schedule in place for their daughter.
