What is Kevin Hunter's Net Worth Going into His Divorce from Wendy Williams?

Wendy Williams and her husband Kevin Hunter are calling it quits. On Wednesday, Williams filed for divorce in New Jersey Superior Court in Essex County.

This split comes after over 20 years of marriage.

In the filing, Williams claimed “irreconcilable differences” that “have caused the breakdown of the marriage for a period of six months and which make it appear that the marriage should be dissolved as there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation.”

Williams has yet to comment on the split but a representative for the talk show host has responded on her behalf.

“Thank you to everyone for respecting the family’s privacy during this time,” the rep told NBC News. “Kevin is supportive of Wendy and they are working through this process together.”

Did Williams and Hunter have a prenup?

When you marry someone, you think the union is forever. And that’s probably what Williams and Hunter thought when they decided to wed without a prenuptial agreement.

The two met at a skating rink in 1994 and were married three years later.

Almost as soon as the two were wed, rumors of Hunter’s infidelity started to circle. Williams even caught him cheating after she gave birth to their son, Kevin Hunter Jr.

In 2013, while being interviewed by Howard Stern, Williams admitted that despite all of the cheating, she and Kevin did not have a prenup.

When Stern asked if everything would be split 50/50 if the couple ever decided to go their separate ways, Williams said yes.

“That’s how it’s gotta be,” she continued.

Hunter also commented, saying that he might just let Williams have it all.

“I might give her everything, start fresh,” he told Stern.

How much is Williams worth?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Williams is worth a whopping $60 million. She makes $15 million per year from her show alone. Before that, she hosted a radio show. She has also released a number of books, including
Wendy’s Got the Heat, The Wendy Williams Experience, Ask Wendy: Straight-Up Advice for All the Drama in Your Life, Drama Is Her Middle Name, Is the Bitch Dead, Or What?, Ritz Harper Goes to Hollywood, and Hold Me in Contempt: A Romance.

What is Hunter’s net worth?

Hunter has helped Williams throughout her career. He serves as the co-executive producer on her show, The Wendy Williams Show. Despite being an instrumental part in much of the talk show host’s career, Hunter is only worth $7.5 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Because Williams failed to have Hunter sign a prenuptial agreement, she may lose millions of dollars in the divorce.

Hunter’s alleged mistress

Recently, rumors had begun spreading that Hunter had a mistress. The rumors came to a head when the alleged other woman, Sharina Hudson, gave birth to a child in March.

Williams had previously written in her book, Wendy’s Got the Heat that a child would be the only thing that would make her leave her husband.

“The only thing that would make me walk out for good is if he lied about anything – if he was in love, if she was just as successful at what she does as I am in my career, if she had his baby.”
