What does the Job Seeker increase mean for its recipients?

After months of uncertainty, the government will permanently increase the unemployment safetynet JobSeeker by $50 a fortnight.

Social services groups are warning this increase will not prevent households from falling below the poverty line after the $150 coronavirus supplement ends in March.
