The times, they are a-changin’! Just a couple of weeks ago, Taylor Swift decided to share her political views with her Insta followers—something that she’s purposefully refrained from doing in the past—and now her beau, The Favourite actor Joe Alwyn who previously refused to talk about her or their relationship, is ready to chat.
Joe is entitled, of course, to want to keep their private life private, but can he really blame us for being uber curious about their love? He’s even gone so far as to shut down interviewers when they mention Taylor’s name (remember when he said, “I really prefer to talk about work”?). The man is serious about his work.
But when a reporter asked him what he thinks of Taylor’s efforts to get her fans to vote, Joe kindly said, “I think it’s great, I think it’s important.” Sweet! But the moment was also extremely awkward because as he was talking, he began to back away slowly in an attempt to leave the interview.
Interviewer: What did you make of Taylor Swift, all of her tweets and everything have been going out, in terms of her political stance, we haven’t really seen that before?

Obviously, it seemed like he was dashing out so he wouldn’t have to field any more questions about Tay, but to be fair to Joe, he probably had a whole line of other interviews to get through and simply had to get going.
October, man! What a month! Can we expect more insight into Taylor and Joe’s lives, beliefs, and relationship? Pretty please? Maybe they should just do a joint video à la Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott! TYVM!
