‘The Mothership’ podcast: Celebrating J.J. Abrams, 20 years after ‘Felicity’

If you can believe it, a baby born when “Felicity” was on the air could be in college herself right now.

The beloved and overdramatic series turns 20 this week, and, beyond giving us Keri Russell, the infamous haircut and more crazy endings than we could contend with, it was also the big break of one Mr. J.J. Abrams, who has gone on to do a few good things since “Felicity” wrapped.

For the anniversary, Kelly Lawler, Brett Molina and Brian Truitt of “The Mothership,” USA TODAY Network’s geek culture podcast, is examining Abrams’ legacy and future, from “Star Trek,” “Star Wars” and everything between.
