We have all been glued to the TV during lockdown.

And these are the top 10 names inspired by films for your little one with Disney-themed monikers claiming the top spots.

So whether you have a prince or princess, here are the most popular movie-inspired names.

The list, compiled by PoundToy, revealed the blockbuster names with Jasmine, as known as Princess Jasmine, from the Disney film Aladdin coming in at number one.

Aurora claimed second place from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty with protagonist Princess Aurora. The Latin meaning of the name is “dawn”. Aurora was also the Roman Goddess of sunrise and her tears turned into the morning dew.

Meanwhile Ariel from Disney’s The Little Mermaid placed third with Elsa from Frozen coming in at number seven.

Maximus claimed the highest spot for a boy’s name from the film Gladiator while Atticus, played by Gregory Peck in the 1962 film adaptation of Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird, secured eighth place.

The adorable name of Amélie from the 2001 film of the same name placed at number five with the title character played by French actress Audrey Tautou.

In sixth place was Tiana from the gorgeous Disney film of Princess and The Frog and the Russian and Latin origin of the name is indeed princess!

Ace placed at number nine from the 1994 Ace Ventura: Pet Detective starring Jim Carrey as the title character while Leia from Star Wars claimed the tenth spot and was portrayed in the films by the late Carrie Fisher.
