Sugar daddy put off younger women after spending £150k on date who ghosted him

An ex-sugar daddy has revealed why he stopped striking relationships with younger women.

The founder and CEO of a global software company had been divorced for almost four years when he joined Seeking Arrangement.

He struck up relationships with three women on the sugar baby dating site.

But things got quite sour for the anonymous man after a woman he spent £150,000 decided to ghost him.

Now speaking to Refinery29, the bloke admitted things got out of hand with the last woman he dated on the website.

He said: "I spent $200,000 (£150,000) while dating on the site and about 90% of that was on the third woman.

"I bought her a lot of jewellery. I'd buy her a ring, she would lose it or say it got stolen, and I'd buy another to replace it."

He continued: "Then her rent was a few thousands, plus a security deposit. I know, it was sort of like 'hey dude, what are you doing?'"

The man described himself as coming off younger than he is.

He added: "I'm incredibly fit, I work out all the time and I have the mentality of someone in their 20s because I just love to have fun.

"I jump out of planes, you know? I'm just one of those guys."

The former sugar daddy decided "conventional" dating wasn't right for him after his divorce and since he was travelling a lot for work.

So that's when he thought if he financially supported someone as a sugar daddy, he could have a companion when he wanted one.

The businessman claimed he used to date women in their forties, but they were "tainted by life".

Then he decided to pursue younger women after having an enjoyable date with his friend's 31-year-old sister.

He turned to Seeking Arrangement because he wouldn't be able to find younger women to date on an app like Bumble.

The first woman was "upfront" about having sex with him for money, while the second female wanted an emotional connection.

But it was the third sugar baby he met which really put him off.

He detailed: "She was the most dangerous person I think I've ever met."

The man continued: "She scared the s**t out of me. She would say anything to make you think she loved you.

"Once, I got ill and I told her what was going on and I said 'Hey, look we need to have a real relationship or this isn't going to work'.

"And to this day I haven't heard back. She was saying all the right things but her actions weren't matching what she was saying.

"So I told her, either you change or it's not going to work. And then, ghost."

He admitted the experience "destroyed his ability to trust" and led to him giving up on the site.

It also made him re-evaluate his thoughts on dating older women, saying he realised they were not traumatised.

The man concluded: "I want chemistry to come before the financial for me.

"That's the difference. Whereas the other way around, it's 'give me money and then I'll spend time with you'."
