Earlier this week, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth broke ‘Bachelor’ Nation’s collective heart when they announced they’ve broken off their engagement and are splitting up for good.
Their joint statement attributed the breakup to the fact that they’ve both “evolved,” but Kaitlyn’s latest interview shed new light on one particular reason that would make any bride-to-be upset.
According to Kaitlyn, Shawn totally f*cked up and forgot their anniversary last year. In an episode of her Off the Vine podcast, which was recorded before their split announcement, Kaitlyn explained exactly how her former boo forgot, saying it was somewhat understandable considering they met on a TV show where she was dating multiple guys at the same time.

“He was like, ‘To be fair, you had just dumped a guy five minutes before deciding, I guess, I’ll pick this guy,'” she recalled. Then she added that even though, sure, that might be the case, he should still try to remember. It’s not like she’s asking him to remember every sort-of anniversary they had on the show! Kaitlyn apparently told Shawn, “okay, at the end of the day, you forgot our anniversary. You’re being a d**k right now. Just own that.”
