Selena Gomez’s £22 liquid blush is ‘the most pigmented’ product ever, says TikTok

How often does the packaging of a liquid blush or bronzer say to apply just a couple of dots initially before building up the colour with a few more? Almost all do, and we almost always use more than that. However, TikTok has been left amazed by one seriously pigmented blush that gives incredible colour pay-off with just ONE drop.

Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Liquid Blush,£22 here, is being labelled so punchy that some users say even one dot is even too much for their complexions. You’re probably thinking the same as us – though initially quite expensive to buy, the product would last pretty much forever (or, you know, until it expires).

One thing we know for sure is that the blush is getting almost as much attention on TikTok as the brand’s founder, Selena Gomez. The product has even found its way into the hands of celebrity faces and mega-influencers. Make-up vloggerMikayla Nogueirarecently used one of the newer shade launches in a video titled “These new shades of the Rare Beauty blush are beautiful for everyday looks!”

Mikayla is seen applying the formula to the top of her cheekbones with the doe foot applicator. The influencer then says: “The way I like to apply it is to put one dot here, then I’ll use a sponge. I like to diffuse the pigment out by buffing and blending.”

The video has received hundreds of comments from followers who have both tried the blush and are very keen to try it ASAP.

“I feel like those Rare Beauty blushes are so pigmented. I literally use a minuscule dot and it’s already too much,” says one, while a second writes: “Your technique of diffusing the pigment out is fabulous!”

A third adds: “When they said one drop they meant it.”

It’s worth noting that for those with deeper skin tones, two dots can be used without it overwhelming the complexion. TikTok userMakeup by Tammishows how a couple of dots of the coral shade Joy can instantly add a very flattering, punchy peach tint.

Not only is the blush getting rave reviews thanks to its pigmented formula, but users are also praising Selena for designing her products to be inclusive of those with disabilities. UserChristenexplains why the easy-open lid is perfect for her in a video titled “Rare Beauty for the win”.

“As a short arm person who uses make-up, and specifically this blush, I recently discovered that Rare Beauty designed their packaging specifically with people with disabilities in mind,” she says. “I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought make-up and then couldn’t open it. So when I bought this, I was like ‘Oh wow look at this little circle at the top’, and my hand that has no strength in it was able to turn it open.”

Selena, we crown you Queen of Beauty Inclusivity.
