Cheesy chips and pizzas are staples of any respectable takeaway restaurant, but one such establishment has gone a step further by combining the two. 

Knightsridge Chip Shop in Livingston, Scotland is selling a margarita pizza served with an entire portion of chips covered in melted cheese piled on top.

The restaurant shared a snap of the bizarre concoction on its Facebook page, which quickly began circulating online. 

And while Scotland is the birthplace of the infamous deep-fried Mars Bar, for some this latest artery-clogging dish proved a step too far, with one branding it a ‘heart attack on a plate’.

The chip shop posted a picture of its pizza earlier this week and over 2,000 people have already commented on it.

They page captioned the post: ‘NEW!!! Chips n cheese pizza yum!!!’

Some Facebook users have said they want to try one, and many tagged their friends in the comments to ask them if they wanted to share a slice.

One commented with heart eyes emojis: ‘Omg my dream pizza!’

Many Facebook users have commented that they’re desperate to try one (pictured), with one saying it is their ‘idea of heaven’

‘My idea of heaven,’ another wrote, followed by drooling emojis. 

Alongside a licking the lips emoji, a third wrote: ‘Needs a bit of red sauce and then it’s perfect.’

Another wrote that they’d ‘died and gone to heaven’ while looking at the pizza.

However, others weren’t so keen, saying they couldn’t eat the calorific creation.

In fact many flooded the picture comments with hoards of vomit emojis to express their disgust.

One commented: ‘Also known as “heart attack”

‘Disgusting as bad as pineapple,’ another posted.

A third said: ‘Ffs Pineapple no allows to go on pizza but chips?! Heart attack on the plate that is [sic].’
