'Saturday Night Live' Totally Trolled Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande's Relationship Last Night

The new season of Saturday Night Live premiered last night, and the show took the opportunity to poke fun at castmate Pete Davidson’s rather eventful summer. (You may have heard that he’s currently engaged to Ariana Grande?)

First, SNL had a skit where cast member Kyle Mooney, jealous of his friend Pete’s newfound fame, tries to morph into Pete 2.0. He copies Pete’s style, steals his friends, and dyes his hair a matching blonde. Most hilariously though is that when Kyle needs that final touch to complete his transformation—a celebrity GF—Wendy Williams comes to the rescue.

Then, Pete also showed up during the Weekend Update skit to talk about his relationship with Ari. He joked about the media-frenzy that it’s caused, saying, “Do you remember when that whole city pretended that kid was Batman because he was, like, sick? That’s what this feels like.” Pete also made fun of their wealth/fame disparity, joking that he wanted a prenup because “God forbid, we split up and she takes half my sneakers.” But he also added, “Look, I’m totally comfortable with a successful woman. I think it’s dope, I live at her place. She pays like sixty grand for rent, and all I have to do is stock the fridge.”

So not only did SNL do some A-plus Pete and Ari trolling, the show also gave a glimpse into their relationship—and if Pete and Ariana happy with this ‘stocked fridge in exchange for rent’ arrangement, then I’m happy for them!
