A brave pensioner fought off a mugger by putting his fists up to punch him during a cashpoint robbery.
The 77-year-old was using the cash machine when a crook demanded money.
But instead of giving in to the younger mugger, the plucky pensioner put up his fists in true boxing fashion – and threw punches at him.
The attempted robbery was caught on CCTV at the cashpoint at the Sainsbury's supermarket in Roath, Cardiff.
Footage showed the pensioner – wearing glasses and a flat cap – get out of his Chevrolet Aveo and approach the machine.

After retrieving his money he was approached by the would-be robber, wearing a hi-vis vest, who pushed him to the chest.
But the older man courageously fought back – and threw punches at the attacker and beckoned him to come forward.
As the two men pivot quickly around, the pensioner is left facing the CCTV outside – and can be seen shouting "come on, then".

Police say the suspect then fled empty-handed.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "A 77-year-old man was using the cash machine outside Sainsbury's at approximately 6am on Wednesday, February 5, when he was approached by an unknown white male demanding cash and his bank card.
"The victim bravely fought off the suspect who made off empty-handed towards the path leading to Colchester Avenue."
"We would encourage anyone who knows him to please come forward."
Detective Constable Stephen Mayne added: "The victim in this case showed great bravery, however he has been left shaken.
Police said the suspect was carrying a black rucksack and was wearing a high-vis vest and black hat with a white motif on the front.
Witnesses or anyone with information are being urged to call South Wales.
