NBCUniversal Formats has acquired format rights for the Middle East, Asia, and Eastern Europe for feel-good comedy “Conversations With My Parents.”
Based on Quebec entertainer François Morency’s best-selling book, “Conversations With My Parents” is a single-camera, weekly comedy show filled with colorful exchanges between the star – who is also a comedian – his parents, his brother and sister, and their entourage.
The show is the most-watched comedy on Radio-Canada, Canada’s national French-language public broadcaster. The third season aired in fall 2020, and tore up audience records, with an average market share of 37%. The fourth season is currently in production, with the fifth season already in development.
The show is produced by A Media, with global sales being handled by CBC and Radio-Canada Distribution, the licensing department of Canada’s national public broadcaster.

In collaboration with sales agent Aroma TV, the format has also been optioned in Germany by Eitelsonnenschien and in Belgium by Eyeworks.
