Mum uses £1.50 denture cleaner on grimy kitchen tiles – and it transforms floor

When a mum tried out a cleaning hack one her kitchen floor, she was stunned by the results.

Jade, from Brisbane, decided against paying for a professional cleaner.

She also swerved expensive products by opting for a £1.50 denture cleaner instead.

The Australian parent picked up some Polident, which is typically used for whitening teeth.

She then diluted the product with water, before spraying it on her kitchen tiles.

The results were staggering – with the solution changing the colour of her flooring.

The mum shared a picture of her kitchen transformation on the Mums Who Clean Facebook page.

She captioned the post: "We live in a rental and I've always just mopped our floors, never realised how light the tiles actually are!

"I used the first tip of Polident (of course) soaked the floors for a few minutes then scrubbed away.

“The floor is so porous I can't believe how dirty and dark it was before!

“Next stop the whole house!”

Jade’s post has racked up thousands of likes in recent days – and many asked the mum to elaborate more on her hack.

To help others replicate the cleaning trick, she clarified: "The way I did mine was vacuum, then made up a bucket of five litres of water with three Polident dissolvable tablets in, I filled a spray bottle for the grout sprayed and soaked the tiles and then scrubbed away.

"I then mopped with sugar soap and went over with a steam mop to get the remainder of grime away!!"

Since the post went viral, more Facebook users say they’ll be trying the tip.

One commenter remarked: “Holy smokes! You win the internet today, tomorrow and forever.”

Another said: “What a transformation!”

And a third added: “Wow it’s amazing. Though when you look back at what you thought was clean *sick emoji.”
