A mum has shared a clever hack that prevents anymore spills when children are using a large milk carton.
Sometimes it can be a struggle when the kids want to whip up their own bowl of cereal and they end up spilling milk everywhere because of the wide spout.
So when cleaning out her milk carton and a ketchup bottle for recycling purposes, one mum accidentally swapped the lids and uncovered a life-changing trick to making it easier to pour and avoid pesky spillages.
"It was only by chance that it worked really, I was washing out all the bottles ready for recycling and I was distracted and put the sauce bottle lid on the milk bottle and that’s when it hit me… can I save entire bottles of milk?" mum Kate told Kidspot.
"So, I put the lid on a new bottle of milk and poured and it was so controlled I got my 7-year-old to give it a go, and now we don’t have spilt bottles of milk I’m rushing to clean up before school and work.

"I really thought I was the only one who didn’t know this, but posted it just in case others didn’t know. I wasn’t expecting anything from it. My kids love it they think they are so grown up," she added.
The New Zealand mummy blogger 'Happy Mum Happy Child' discovered the hack in her Facebook group and shared it with her fellow mums alongside a picture of the swapped lids.
"Fun fact: your tomato sauce lid will fit on the milk bottle. Perfect for kids who want to do it themselves but often spill it."

Other parents couldn't believe the trick, which is yet to be confirmed if it works with British products: "This is bloody brilliant.
"This is awesome! Thanks for sharing," said one as another joked, "My kids would be happy if the milk lid was on the tomato sauce bottle."
"My kid would still find a way to spill the entire bottle," added another.
