Steve, a father to three children who are more than five years older than Laura, was immediately attracted to her, and built up the courage to ask for her name, before contacting her on social media.

The pair, who saw each other every day on the same bus route, had their first date in Laura’s back garden two days later, and within weeks began dating- with Steve becoming a father figure to Laura’s children.

‘I discovered Steve was then 59 and had three children who were more than five years older than I was.’

She admitted: ‘He was bald and wrinkly with a beer belly. He wasn’t my usual type and I didn’t find him attractive at first.’

Steve, who himself is a father to three children who are more than five years older than Laura, was immediately attracted to Laura, and built up the courage to ask for her name, before contacting her on social media

Describing how she started to fall for him when she realised just how loving he was, she says their relationship quickly went from strength to strength.

But Laura is adamant that she doesn’t notice the age gap, adding that their sex life is very active.

‘You’d never know Steve is in his sixtes, I can’t keep up with him,’ she added.

And despite  Steve being 10 years younger than Laura’s parents, they have welcomed the relationship with open arms.

But not everyone is as accepting of their relationship, and Laura admits that they get strange looks when they go out together.

But the couple have taken criticism in their stride, and Laura even told how her children have told strangers who assume he is their grandfather, that he is their ‘daddy’.

And with five children between them they have decided not to have any more kids, instead focusing on their impending nuptials.

Describing Steve as having ‘taught her the meaning of love’, Laura says she couldn’t be happier.

Steve added: ‘As soon as I spotted Laura, I thought she was gorgeous. In terms of our age gap, I have never found it to be a problem’.
