Method Man, Shauna Garr Form Production Company Six AM (EXCLUSIVE)

Cliff “Method Man” Smith and his manager, Shauna Garr, have teamed to form the production company Six AM, An Entertainment Co., Variety has learned exclusively.

Six AM will aim to produce a diverse range of content for untold points of view for audiences of all ages. The company will specialize in projects distributed via streaming, social media platforms ,and other relevant technologies alongside traditional television and theatrical releases.

Their first project, “How High 3,” recently sold to Universal 1440 with the goal of reuniting Method Man and Redman, who starred in the first film. The duo recently appeared together in a special 4/20 edition of the Verzuz battle series. Method Man has produced several projects in the past, most recently serving as an executive producer on “Wu-Tang: An American Saga” at Hulu. Garr, meanwhile, recently executive produced “How High 2” for MTV after having produced the first film.

In 2020, Garr worked with Marvel New Media to help Method Man turn his passion for comic books into the podcast “Marvel/Method” for SiriusXM.

Method Man got his start as a member of the rap group Wu-Tang Clan before breaking out as a multi-platinum solo artist. He has been working steadily as an actor for years as well, including roles in “Power Book 2: Ghost,” “Concrete Cowboy,” and “Teenage Bounty Hunters.”

He is repped by CAA, Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz, and Imprint PR.

Garr began her career at “Wheel of Fortune” before transitioning to MTV Networks as a segment producer for the unscripted magazine show “Like We Care.” She also won a $1.3 million grant with ITVS to executive produce an eight-episode youth unscripted series for PBS. She has held executive roles at Buena Vista TV and for Amy Heckerling at Paramount TV before transitioning to producing.
