McDonald's adds five new items to menus from today – including mini potato waffles | The Sun

FAST food giant McDonald's is adding five new items to its menu from today, including mini potato waffles and a new McFlurry.

The restaurant chain made the announcement last week and the majority of items will be landing on your menu today.

Mini potato waffles will be added to the breakfast menu for the first time ever.

They will be served as a portion of three and will be available on their own for £1.39, or as part of a breakfast meal.

McDonald's serves its breakfast menu from opening to 11am before it switches over to its standard menu.

The tasty snack is being added today along with two new burgers.

Making a comeback is the BBQ Bacon Stack which was axed from the menu in July last year.

The burger, made with two juicy British and Irish beef patties, topped with pepper jack cheese and bacon, will set you back £6.89 for a large.

To make way for its return, McDonald's is removing the Big Tasty burger.

All Chicken Legends are also being removed from the menu.

It comes as McDonald's announced that the McCrispy burger will also become a permanent addition to its menu from today.

It's £4.99 and 485 calories. A medium fries and a drink meal costs £6.49.

Nacho Cheese wedges are also being added to the menu, although not until October 26, costing £2.29 for a portion of five, or £5.99 for a sharebox.

They are filled with melted nacho cheese and spicy Jalapeno slices, covered in a crunchy coating and served with Maccies sour cream and chive dip.

For those with a sweet tooth, a brand new Twirl McFlurry is also joining the menu.

It is made with ice cream and pieces of Cadbury's Twirl with Milk chocolate sauce.

The sweet treat will set you back £1.69 for a regular size, or £1.19 for a mini.

All you fast food fans will have to be quick as the new items – apart from the McCrispy – will only be on the menu for the next six weeks.

McDonald's isn't the only fast food outlet that has released a new menu.

Burger King announced the launch of its brand-new Memphis Chicken Burger, which joined the menu yesterday.

The Memphis King beef burger also made a comeback.
