Man critically injured after fall on set of Mr. Rogers movie starring Tom Hanks, reports say

A man working on the Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, set of the Mister Rogers film starring Tom Hanks was critically injured in a two-story fall Thursday, WPXI news station reported.

The unnamed man was described as 65-year-old sound mixer from the Pittsburgh area, who took a break on a balcony between filming scenes on the still-untitled movie.

Police told the station that people nearby said they heard a noise and discovered the man had fallen from a balcony.

The victim, who was transported to an area hospital, may have suffered a medical event before falling over the brick wall surrounding the balcony, Mt. Lebanon Police Chief Aaron Lauth told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

The newspaper reported that star Hanks, who plays Fred Rogers, was on the set Thursday, but left after the incident. Filming was cancelled for the evening.
