Man, 21, fighting for life with severe head injuries after attack in KFC carpark

A man is fighting for his life after suffering severe head injuries in a vicious attack in the car park of a KFC restaurant.

The 21-year-old victim was left with critical injuries after an altercation in the early hours of the morning spiralled out of control.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene at 2.46am this morning after receiving reports of the attack, where they found the man clinging to life with head injuries.

A police spokesman said he was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

A scene watch remained in place where detectives were today combing the area for clues into the dramatic attack, which triggered a police appeal for information.

The incident took place in the car park of KFC on Farnham Road in Slough, Berkshire, the spokesman said.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Will Crowther, of Force CID at Slough police station said: "I would like to appeal for witnesses to this incident, during which a man suffered life threatening injuries for which he is receiving hospital treatment.

"I would like to appeal for anyone with information relating to this incident to come forward and contact police to assist with our investigation.

"We are in the early stages of this investigation and we are working hard to establish the full circumstances.

"There will be a police presence in the area today in an attempt to establish witnesses. Please speak to one of our officers if you have any concerns or questions.

"We are continuing in our attempts to locate and bring the offender or offenders to justice.
