Lady Louise Windsor showcased a flair for designer fashion as she joined parents Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex at the Royal Windsor Horse Show over the weekend.

The Queen’s granddaughter, 17, stepped out in a typically polished ensemble of a blazer, trousers and shirt for the family outing on Saturday – but added a touch of glamour with a £750 saddle bag by high-end French label Chloé.

The Marcie mini crossbody bag is made from textured leather and is designed with the brand’s signature equestrian-style stitching and an embossed logo.

Lady Louise owns the bag in an understated neutral colour but it is available in a range of others, including blue, grey, tan and black. She previously wore the bag at Trooping the Colour in 2018.

An accomplished equestrian, Lady Louise has become a regular fixture at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Yesterday she took the reins of the Duke of Edinburgh’s carriage to participate in the Champagne Laurent-Perrier Meet of the British Driving Society.

The teenager appeared in great spirits and was seen grinning while riding in a carriage while she held a whip in one hand.

The Countess of Wessex recently spoke of the special bond Lady Louise shared with her grandfather Prince Philip, who died in April aged 99.

Lady Louise is an accomplished carriage driver, having followed the Duke of Edinburgh into the sport and her mother says she gained a ‘great passion’ and a ‘natural curiosity’ from her grandfather.

The Countess told BBC Radio 5 Live: ‘He was so pleased when she took the sport up because I took it up… I was okay.

‘Well, I was really at the beginning of my carriage driving career and then I fell pregnant with Louise, so I had to sort of hang up the reins, so I was really delighted when I found out she wanted to have a go.

‘My father-in-law was always so good at encouraging, he was really encouraging of Louise. So when she not only said “please can I have a go”, but then when she showed a flair for it, he was just brilliant with her.

‘They used to chat away about it and he would always turn up if she was competing in the Great Park, he would always turn up to watch her and watch her training days.’
