Psalm West is the newest budding business mogul in the Kardashian-West household.
Just two weeks after welcoming her fourth child Psalm West to the world via surrogate, Kim Kardashian has filed multiple applications for trademarks under the newborn’s name.
On Wednesday, Kardashian filed to trademark “Psalm West” to sell hair accessories, calendars and books, jewelry, home furnishings, baby supplies, dolls, clothes and more, according to documents obtained from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Psalm is hardly the first West child to have a lawyer representing him. Chicago, 1, Saint, 3, and North, 5, all have trademarks filed under their names in the areas of beauty and fashion, as well as entertainment services. However, Kardashian didn’t apply for their trademarks until recently.
There are many more applications filed for Psalm than for Kanye and Kim’s other three kids, suggesting that perhaps there are bigger plans in the works for their baby son’s Bible-themed name.
Inspired by the Book of Psalms, the newborn’s name is defined as “a sacred song or poem used in worship, especially one of the biblical hymns collected in the Book of Psalms.” Kanye hosts his popular Sunday Service, a spiritual celebration filled with gospel music that took over Coachella on Easter and produced church merch costing hundreds of dollars; he could be planning to name an album after his second son (“The Life of Pablo” partly inspired firstborn son Saint’s name), or at least sell more sweatshirts with specific Psalms on them.
With Kylie Jenner recently filing an application to trademark Kylie Baby, it could be possible that the Kar-Jenners are planning clothing lines and capsule collections based around their very own children in a massive collaboration that would include Stormi Webster and True Thompson, both of whom have applications filed under their names from moms Kylie and Khloé Kardashian.
It’s hard keeping up with the next generation of Kardashians.
