According to the Country Music Association, singer Kenny Chesney is unable to appear at tonight’s CMA Awards due to a death in the family.
Chesney is nominated for the night’s top prize: Entertainer of the Year.
On Wednesday morning, it was announced that David Lee Murphy and Chesney’s “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” won the Musical Event of the Year Award.
