Katy Perry turned heads in an Oscar de la Renta gown on the Met Gala 2022 red carpet, but once inside the event, she stood out for a slightly more awkward reason: her shoe got stuck in a metal grate and it took a team of people to free her.

The moment was revealed in an Instagram post shared by Derek Blasberg, who was taking a video of Karlie Kloss at the time.

A voice can be heard saying, “She’s beauty and she’s grace,” after which the pop star, who was sporting a pair of clear Aquazurra heels ($650) for the event, quipped, “She’s also got her foot stuck in a vent!”

The camera turns to Bella Hadid who looks on as Perry, 37, holds on to a wall while her shoe is indeed trapped in an air vent.

“Oh no, oh no!” she yells while several men surround the singer in the video, trying to help free her heel.

“Never a dull moment!” Blasberg says, turning the camera to himself.

It seems like it was a bit of a rough week for the “American Idol” judge, who toppled out of her chair dressed in an Ariel costume on Sunday’s episode of the show.

As for Kloss, she had her own issue at the Met Gala: having to wear a black knee brace.

“The accessory of the year is a couture gown with a knee brace,” she laughed, holding her brace in the air in Blasberg’s video before Perry’s shoe malfunction was revealed.

Despite the snafu, the “American Idol” judge’s stunning Oscar de la Renta gown — a departure from her usual wacky Met Gala looks — won fashion points on the red carpet.

“You know, it would be pretty obvious for me to go play the kooky, crazy, wild, big, fun, colorful card,” Perry told Page Six Style in April. “This time, I’m going to play a whole different card.”
