Denver favorite and international touring comic Kathleen Madigan returns with a show at the Paramount Theatre on Feb. 19 to tape her latest live special — following a trend of other national comics taping sets at venues such as Comedy Works downtown and Englewood’s Gothic Theatre. Also funny: Stand-up lifer and former “SNL” cast member Colin Quinn is at the Vilar Center for the Performing Arts in Beaver Creek on Tuesday, Aug. 26 ($55, vilarpac.org/colin-quinn); and Australian comic Daniel Sloss this week announced his 28-city Hubris Tour, including a show at the Paramount on Nov. 16 (prices unavailable, ticketmaster.com).
Garage-glam dynamo Ty Segall and Freedom Band will headline RiNo’s Mission Ballroom on July 3, 2022, with tickets for the 16-and-up show on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20. ($35-$60, axs.com)

Impossible-to-miss California songwriter Bret Dennen — who is 6-foot-5, with an unruly shock of orange hair — is bringing his See the World Tour to the Boulder Theater on Nov. 18. Tickets for the all-ages concert are on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20. ($25-$30, bouldertheater.com)
Glitchy dubstep purveyor Svdden Death will return to headline Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Oct. 24 as part of its Valley of Death tour. Tickets for the late-season, all-ages show are on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20. ($29-$69, axs.com)
A handful of artists this week switched up their fall 2021 shows this week — although promoter AEG Presents Rocky Mountains did not specifically say why. 070 Shake, announced in June and scheduled for Oct. 7 at the Ogden Theatre, will now move to May 28, 2022, “due to unforeseen circumstances,” according to the band.
Also moving — in this case, up by two days — is Samantha Fish, whose Ogden Theatre date is barely more than a month away. She’s moving her Sept. 26 concert there to Sept. 24, so if you’ve already got tickets be sure not to miss it. Refunds for this and all moved shows are available at the point of purchase, likely axs.com.
