Jamie Lee Curtis bought her ‘Halloween’ wardrobe for $200 at JCPenney

Jamie Lee Curtis knows that great style can be had at any budget.

The actress, who reprises her role as Laurie Strode in “Halloween,” revealed that she provided her character’s wardrobe for the 1978 original version of the movie.

“I made $8,000 — I made $2,000 a week, which at the time was a fortune,” Curtis, 59, told People.

“All the sudden, I was going to JCPenney and buying Laurie’s wardrobe with $200!”

Instead of trailers, the cast and crew of the low-budget flick all worked out of a single Winnebago RV.

“There were cabinets in the Winnebago. Each girl got a drawer with her name on it to put her purse in,” she said. “The makeup and the hair and the wardrobe were all in this one Winnebago that we all shared.”

The original scream queen also recalled the slim staff of the unexpected horror hit, which marked its 40th anniversary this year.

“[There were] 20 people, maybe 15 [working on the movie],” she said. “The oldest person was 30. Every other person was under 30. It was magic. A friend of somebody cooked the food each day and we all ate on the ground together.”

Last month, Curtis, who will celebrate her 60th birthday on November 22, admitted that physically seeing herself aging could sometimes be scarier than Michael Myers.

“When I get out of the shower, I have a choice: I can dry myself off looking in the mirror, or I can dry off with my back to it. I turn my back to the mirror, and I feel great,” she said. “I don’t want women to hate themselves, because I think women are extraordinary.”
