Inside Love Island’s Luca and Gemma’s first holiday with her family in the Algarve

Love is still in the air forLove IslandcoupleLuca BishandGemma Owen.

The pair who were runners up in the show, lost out on the winner title and £500,000 prize toEkin-Su CülcüloğluandDavide Sanclimenti, but that didn’t seem to dampen their romance in any way.

While they’ve been out and about together recently including atrip to London where they packed on the PDA, it seems they’re still not official.

However, all could change soon as they prove their as together as ever as Luca, 23, joined 19 year old Gemma and her family for a trip to Algarve.

Luca shared a snap of himself lounging under an umbrella and sporting a pair of charcoal colour swim shorts which were made by Gemma’s clothing brand.

The loyal lover captioned his pic: “Does this count as our first holiday together or? It’s only right that I wear @ogbeachwear @gemowen_1 [heart emoji].”

Gemma’s mum Louise also shared a picture of herself by the poolside and sporting one of her daughter’s creations as she sat with her beloved Prada tote near the water.

While the star herself hasn’t yet posted pictures by the pool she did share a snap of the luxurious breakfast the group tucked into at Louro Restaurant in Quinta do Lago, Algarve.

It’s not yet known if Gemma’s footballer father Michael Owen is with the group but he didrecently share a snap of himself flying on holiday.

While the pair have gone from strength to strength in and out of the villa, Luca recently said Gemma had changed in the few short days they'd settled back into life at home.

Appearing onGood Morning Britainon 8 August, the couple were all smiles as the brunette beauty said: "The whole experience is so surreal, it's not sunk in really."

But there was a briefly awkward moment when TV hostRichard Madeleyasked them if, now they're "out of that weird environment", they've noticed changes in each other.

Luca turned to Gemma and said: "You've changed a little bit."

Gemma appeared speechless and gave an uncomfortable laugh before saying "Oh", prompting Luca to hastily add: "No, for the better. She's come more out of her shell, like when I saw you with your mum and stuff, when we're in the hotel."

Gemma looked down and seemed unsure of how to respond as Luca tailed off, leaving an awkward few seconds of silence.

Richard asked the pair what it's actually like being in the villa saying: "Is it fun? Weird? Frightening?"

Gemma replied: "You're in a villa with a load of your best mates," while Luca added: "It was the best time of my life."
