Iceland brings back £5 pizza and wine deal due to demand from shoppers

Shoppers can pick up two Dr Oetker Ristorante pizzas and a bottle of wine worth £11 from the frozen food supermarket, saving up to £6.

The deal is available online and in stores, and runs until Sunday, so you'll need to act quickly if you want a "pizza" this offer.

Iceland last launched the bundle in October, but a spokesman said it has brought it back because it was "hugely popular" with shoppers.

To claim the deal, shoppers can visit their local branch or visit the Iceland website and click on the pizza and wine promotion.

You can then choose two pizzas worth £2.50 each from a choice of four from the Dr Oetker range: Pepperoni-Salame, Mozzarella, Pollo [chicken], or Funghi [mushroom].

You can then pick a 75cl bottle of white sauvignon blanc or red cabernet sauvignon from the Anakena 'Birdman Series' range of wines, which are worth £6 each.

For non-drinkers, there's also the option of a 360g Nestle Dairy Box chocolates worth £4.

Choosing the wine is the best value option because you'll save £6 on what the pizza and wine would normally cost (£11), but you'll still save £4 if you pick the chocs.

The offer means you're essentially getting the bottle of wine or the chocolates free – so it's a good saving if you were planning a pizza night anyway.

If you combine the deal with a weekly shop and spend over £35 online, you can bag free delivery.

Otherwise, Iceland will charge a £2 delivery fee.

Iceland has more than 800 shops across the UK. You can find your nearest branch using its store finder tool.

Meanwhile, we revealed yesterday that Poundland charges you more for branded goods compared to the supermarkets.

A new discount store has launched on the high street called Only5Pounds where everything costs £5.

If you really want to save cash then you're better off ditching the branded goods altogether and buying own brands instead – this could cut up to £1,500 a year off your shopping bill.
