A woman’s simple joke about being middle-aged caused millions around the world to hound her for the ‘secret’ formula for looking young at 45.
Grace, from Tennessee, has constantly been told she looked ‘young’ for her age.
So when the 21-year-old decided to hop on a TikTok trend about appearances not being what they seem, she jokingly said she was 45 and didn’t expect anyone to believe her.
But Grace was shocked when thousands of comments came pouring in – many of which congratulated her for apparently finding the fountain of youth.
She also had a chance encounter the same week during which a receptionist at her dentist thought she was her teenage sister’s mother, sending Grace into a spiral.

‘I’m only 21, I jokingly said I was 45-years-old on TikTok and didn’t think it was believable,’ she said in a video.
The original clip saw her dress in a ‘My Little Pony’ t-shirt and large, round glasses.
‘Did someone say catfish? Yeah, that’s me. I look 21, but I’m 45,’ she wrote.
Grace also made a joke about ‘throwing her back out’ while filming the short section of her jumping.
After thousands didn’t clock the sarcasm and kept demanding advice, Grace made another joke video where she revealed how she keeps her skin ‘young’.
‘Don’t get into drama, it ages you,’ she advised.
‘And use sunscreen everyday – even if you only plan on staying indoors and not venturing out into the sun.’

Many continued to believe Grace was 45 despite her finally revealing the truth.
‘I don’t believe you – I think you’re actually 45-years-old and just don’t want to tell us why you look so young,’ one said.
‘Wow, you have really aged beautifully,’ another added.
‘I can’t believe you’re 45, I really thought you were 20,’ said a third.
