A woman has hit out at men who fail to appreciate curvier women until they lose several pounds and become significantly slimmer, labelling the habit “gross”.
Brooklyn Kennedy, 26, saw her TikTok clip go viral after she posting an emotional message to men who “dehumanize” women with curvier bodies.
The content creator chose to air her grievances on TikTok after she received a flirty message on Instagram from a man who had written off years ago.
Given her recent weight loss, Kennedy read between the lines and understood that her suitor had become interested now that she was smaller.
The actress who resides in Brooklyn, said in her clip: “Can I talk candidly about something that absolutely freaking grosses me out. It’s probably going to piss you off but I don’t care. I have been in many eras of my body.

“When I say that my weight has fluctuated a lot over […] 10 years, it has been in a range of 230 pounds that my weight has gone up and down.
“When I lose weight and somebody that I have known for a long time […] suddenly becomes interested in me, that pisses me off.”
She went on to say: “Do you realize how demoralizing it is for you to realize the only reason people were writing you off is because of your size?”
TikTok is brimming with similar messages from women who were brutally deceived by men who rejected them when they were on the heavier side.
One poignant example was shared by TikTok user Jo Wuensche, whose clip went viral in 2022 with more than 2.1 million likes and thousands of comments.
The video, captioned “Never judge someone because of their looks!”, shows the content creators’ impressive weight loss journey and how men reacted to it.
A picture of Jo before the transformation appears at the start of the clip with the message “You’re not my type”, next to an emoji of a blonde male.
Suddenly new footage flashes on the screen, showing Jo after she’d lost weight.
This time the message “Jo?” appears above the picture, highlighting that the tone of the messages from the curious blonde male has changed.
Like many others, Jo’s clip slates men who find women attractive after they have lost substantial amounts of weight.
