With many of us being forced to stay in our home because of lockdown, it's no surprise that the demand for home influencing has boosted.
Stars such as Mrs Hinch and Marie Kondo are now big household names – and they have the bank balances to show it.
A new Homefluencer Rich List from GoCompare has revealed these home-based influencers are earning millions from their mass followings on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
US star Marie Kondo is named as the top home influencer, raking in a yearly income of £1.1million.
According to the list, the Japanese organising consultant, author, and TV host has 4.6million followers overall online, and has an engagement rate of 7.3%.
Following her in second place on the list is the UK's very own Sophie Hinchliffe, also known as Mrs Hinch.
The Essex beauty earns a reported £1million a year and has 4.4million followers overall. The data also claims she has an engagement rate of 13.22%.
In third place is Utah-based influencers Syd & Shea McGee, who run the Instagram account studiomcgee, with a yearly income of £659,000, while designer and videographer Galey Alix, from Florida, is fourth – earning £475,000 a year.
Finishing up the top five is LA interior designer Kelly Wearstler, who makes £392,000 each year.
The rest of the top ten are interior designers Amber Lewis (£336,000), Becki Owens (£324,000), Melike (£262,000), Emily Henderson (£241,000) and Angela Rose (£206,000).
As well as home influencers, the research also found that celebrities were cashing in on their property accounts.
Many reality stars have also jumped on the homefluencer trend, setting up dedicated accounts for their houses on Instagram.
When it comes to reality stars raking in the most cash, Love island’s Olivia and Alex Bowen come in first place, earning a massive £168,400 a year from their home account on Instagram.
TOWIE’s Billie and Greg Shepherd come second, earning an estimated £102,000 per year from posting photos of their Essex home.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Crosby, Lucy Mecklenburgh and Rochelle Humes also made the list.
The news comes as Mrs Hinch and her husband Jamie launched a new podcast this week filled with home-based chat, tips and hacks.
The podcast – 'All The Best (And Worst) With Mr and Mrs Hinch' – means fans can ask interact and ask their burning questions to the couple.
