Hilary Duff‘s engagement ring is what dreams are made of.
The actress, 31, announced on Instagram on Thursday that she and boyfriend Matthew Koma are engaged.
Duff’s new sparkler appears to be a 3-carat elongated cushion-cut diamond on a rose gold split shank solitaire setting, according to Nicole Wegman, founder of Ring Concierge. She estimates it to be worth between $45,000 and $50,000.
Shane Co. VP of merchandise Alicia Davis agreed on the assessment, but added that the band could be either rose or yellow gold and a bit pricier — up to $75,000.
“Both rose and yellow gold are two of the most trending metals right now, and celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and Kim Kardashian West also have elongated cushion-cut diamonds for their engagement rings,” Davis told Page Six Style. “We love this diamond shape because it tends to look larger than other shapes by lengthening and slimming the finger.”
Duff and Koma have one daughter together, a baby girl named Banks, whom they welcomed in October. Duff also has a 7-year-old son, Luca, with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
