Emma Stone Instagram-shamed, mistaken for Emma Watson in ‘Billy on the Street’ return

Have you ever wondered why Emma Stone doesn’t have an Instagram account?

Well you are not alone. During the first episode of “Billy on the Street,” host Billy Eichner hit the pavement with the Oscar award-winning actress in tow to see what the average Joe thought on the matter.

“You don’t have an Instagram? Why not? How do you keep in touch with the latest things,” one shocked New Yorker said. “Everyone and everything is on there, even Will Smith just made an Instagram.”

Another added: “Everyone wants to know where the artists are.”

Maybe Stone doesn’t want to create an Instagram out of fear of being mistaken for fellow actress Emma Watson. (Because that totally happened.)

“What’s your favorite Emma Stone movie,” Eichner asks an unsuspecting pedestrian. He replies: “Harry Potter.” The host followed up, “That’s Emma Watson. Why couldn’t you be Emma Watson?”

Speaking of fear, Stone seems to have no plans to take a page out of Emily Blunt’s book and try her hand at horror movies.

When asked if she would like to see the “La La Land” star as a scream queen, one fan said: “I think honestly your intellect and persona is a little bit above that.”

However, Stone practiced her “I’m scared face,” and let’s just say it looked award winningly terrified.

Thursday’s “Billy on the Street” episode (produced by Funny or Die and Lyft Entertainment) was the first since the web-comedy series’ year-long break.
