British pop star Dua Lipa, 25, is blasting a full-page advertisement in The New York Times that calls her support of Palestinians antisemitic.
Lipa said the World Values Network is “shamelessly” using her name to “advance their ugly campaign with falsehoods and blatant misrepresentations.”
In the ad, which appeared in Saturday’s main section of the paper, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach called out Lipa, and the models Bella and Gigi Hadid as three “mega-influencers” who have “accused Israel of ethnic cleansing” and “vilified the Jewish State.”
The singer fired back at the accusation on Twitter Saturday.
“I stand in solidarity with all oppressed people and reject all forms of racism,” she wrote.
A cease-fire was declared in the West Bank Friday after an 11-day war in the disputed territory killed 250 people, mostly Palestinians.
The tension between the feuding factions has led to violence between American Muslims and Jews in recent days.
