Prince William and Prince Harry were always so close growing up. But as they’ve gotten older, adulthood has set in, and the relationship between the two isn’t quite what it once was. But now, it looks like William may have actually warned Harry about things moving too quickly with Harry’s new wife, Meghan Markle.
Harry reportedly told his family he wanted to marry Meghan after less than a year of dating
Harry and Meghan’s whirlwind romance isn’t exactly a secret. The couple first met back in July 2016, and by November 2017, Harry had proposed. The couple planned a wedding in six months, which isn’t unheard of in the royal family, and they were married in May 2018. Meghan and Harry had mentioned being eager to start a family, as both of them have always wanted children. In October 2018, the couple announced that they were expecting a child the following spring. But those close to the royals say Harry was ready to propose to Meghan after less than a year.
Recent reports suggest Will warned Harry that he was moving too quickly with Meghan
According to People, Will actually warned Harry against moving so quickly with Meghan. Will had been one to take things slow in his relationship; he and Kate Middleton first met back in 2001 but didn’t get married until 2011. Harry took the opposite approach, falling hard for Meghan from the start and wanting to marry her quickly. Apparently, that’s when Harry and Will became a bit more distant. While they’re still brothers and love one another, they don’t have the same relationship they did a while back. Their lives are taking different directions, and it started when Harry wanted to jump the gun with marriage.

A friend of the brothers said he doesn’t believe Will and Kate would ever be mean to Meghan
There have been plenty of rumors about the royals ever since Meghan married into the family. Supposedly Meghan and Kate don’t get along. And other rumors suggest Meghan doesn’t treat her staff fairly. However, they are rumors, and they haven’t been proven true. A friend of the two princes told People that he can’t imagine Will and Kate would have ever been mean to Meghan. He said it “doesn’t sound like them.” It’s possible that the two couples aren’t super close, but it’s unlikely that there are serious problems among them.
Harry and Will have reportedly grown apart ever since Harry tied the knot
Harry’s marriage to Meghan isn’t necessarily the reason the men grew apart, but it may have been the impetus. When Harry married Meghan, he started a new chapter in his life. And he and Will want different things when it comes to royalty. Will is very polished; he’s the future king, and he strictly follows royal protocol. Harry wants a bit more of a private life. The two decided to split their households, since their lives were headed in different directions. Harry and Meghan moved to Frogmore Cottage for a bit more privacy, while Will and Kate will be in the spotlight for years to come. The brothers likely still have a close relationship, but Harry’s new life has separated them a bit.
