And Crown Princess Mette-Marit appeared to be sporting a healthy tan as she stepped out in Oslo today for her first public appearance in weeks.

The Norwegian royal, 45, was all smiles as she arrived at the House of Literature for a talk with Prime Minister Erna Solberg and author Olaug Nilssen hosted by Riksteatret, a touring theatre troupe.

The mother-of-three wore her signature platinum blonde locks in loose waves, while a crisp white jumper showcased her bronzed complexion.

She teamed the pared back look with a simple navy skirt, snakeskin heels and a small patent clutch bag. 

Former waitress Mette-Marit is the wife of Norway’s heir to the throne, Crown Prince Haakon, 44.

The couple share Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 14, and Prince Sverre Magnus, 12, while Mette-Marit also has Marius Borg Høiby from a previous relationship.

Over the years, the glamorous blonde has become widely respected for her charity work and has been a special representative for UNAIDS, a branch of the UN that focuses on dealing with HIV and AIDS.

She also joined the Norwegian aid agency NORAD as an intern, and is a patron of several Norwegian charities, including the Oslo International Church Music Festival and the Norwegian Scouting Association.
