Costco US is selling an advent calendar with 24 cans of beer

CRAFT beer lovers listen up because Costco is selling an advent calendar that's filled with a different can of booze for every day until Christmas.

Behind each door is new German craft beer made by small privately-owned brewers that aren't available to buy separately in supermarkets.

The calendar starts on December 1 and runs right through the month until December 24- that means there are more than 20 different beers to try.

Costco sold the same Kalea Brewer's calendar last year and has decided to bring it back in 2019 after it proved to be a hit.

Each 16.9oz (480ml) can of booze is either a pils, helles, pale and dark Weizen, a pale ale, German stout, bock or a Weizenbock.

You can also download the free BeerTasting app to rate the beer by scanning the label, and check out what other's thought of the drink too.

Christmas beer advent calendar! $59.99 ??#costcodoesitagain

The calendars went on sale today, October 1, at Costco, while Brits will have to wait until the end of the month before buying theirs.

It's already been spotted by Instagrammer @Costco_doesitagain where it's has got the approval of almost 6,000 people on social media.

Shoppers might be put off by the heft price tag though as just one calendar will set you back $59.99 (£49.05).

Considering a basic chocolate calendar only costs $4.74 (£3.88) from Amazon, you really will be paying above the odds for a festive countdown.

The calendars aren't available to buy online so you'll need to head to a store if you want to get your hands on one.

You'll also need to be a member before you buy anything from Costco – an annual membership starts from $60 (£49.06) for a gold star card or $120 (£98.12) to become an executive member.

Shoppers can sign up to the scheme online or by speaking to a member of staff in store.

Not ready for Christmas yet? Don't worry because M&M's has launched Halloween treats with crispy centres and dark chocolate coating.

Trader Joe's has also dropped its line of pumpkin products including spice caramel corn and waffles.

And if you really want to be creeped out on your coffee break, Starbucks has revealed how to order the "IT Chapter Two" frappuccino in the US.
