Dolly-Rose Campbell plays the role of Gemma Winter in Coronation Street and is set to tie the knot with Chesney Brown in next week's big storyline.
The actress, 36, first arrived on the cobbles back in 2014 and quickly became one of the most loved characters on the ITV soap.
One of her most famous storylines involved Gemma going into labour while stranded mid-air on a cable cart and later giving birth to quadruplets with partner Chesney Brown (Sam Aston).
Now she is getting ready to marry Chesney while wearing one of the most extravagant wedding dresses in Corrie history – a bright orange gown complete with 410ft of fairy lights and a 7 metre train.
But off screen, the Salford-born actress is far from her Corrie character and leads a much quieter life.
She previously told The Sunday Post: "We have a very different dress sense, and I like to spend time chilling out with my dog!"
We take a closer look at her off screen life as Gemma gets ready to say 'I do'…
Who is Dolly-Rose?
Dolly-Rose first joined Coronation Street in 2014, landing the role of resident loudmouth Gemma Winters.
Before arriving on the cobbles Dolly-Rose worked at a radio station and topped up her income by working in a bar.
She was already a huge fan of the show before joining the cast – previously telling iN10: "I have always been a massive fan of Coronation Street. I’d had an audition before the tour, and I wasn’t expecting anything, but then just a couple of days later I got the call saying I had got the part."
Originally she was cast in six episodes but after making such a good impression went on to lead a successful career on the hit ITV soap and is still there today almost nine years later.
Life off screen
Soon after joining the soap, Dolly-Rose won over the hearts of viewers with her hilarious character and in 2017 won Best Comedy Performance at the British Soap Awards and Funniest Female at the Inside Soap Awards.
Just a year later in 2018, she won the award for Funniest Female for the second time at the Inside Soap Awards.
Dolly-Rose went on to buy her first home and is said to be a huge art fan – often visiting the Islington Mill, an independent arts hub in Salford, Manchester.
She is also an ambassador and volunteer at Emmeline's Pantry – a food bank in Manchester run by women for women and their families.
Away from Corrie, she has made guest appearances on the likes of Lorraine, Hilda Ogden's Last Ta Ra – A Tribute to Jean Alexander, Granada Reports and Good Morning Britain.
In 2019, the actress came out as bisexual ahead of doing a voiceover for Manchester Pride.
Speaking to The Daily Star, she said: "I have been coming to pride for over a decade now. The love and acceptance shown by the people of Manchester allowed me to accept my bisexuality and be proud of who I am."
Despite being a Mum-of-four on screen, in real life, Dolly-rose doesn’t have any children.
