New York chefs and food lovers will celebrate Japan at a benefit for the Gohan Society, which fosters an “understanding and appreciation” of Japan’s culinary heritage in the United States and sponsors culinary exchanges as well.
The event will be held on Oct. 10 at Brookfield Place’s fourth-floor terrace.
Top chefs David Bouley, Daniel Boulud, Gabriel Kreuther, Alfred Portale, Masaharu Morimoto, Toshio Suzuki and more will be cooking.
Michelin Star chefs Michael Anthony of Gramercy Tavern in New York and Shin Takagi of Zeniya in Kanazawa, Japan — which hosts the culinary professionals Gohan brings to Kanazawa every year — will be honored this year.
Wagyu beef, fish and other ingredients will be flown in from Japan.
Tickets are $350 a person.
