Britney Spears says she’s “worked her ass off” to write her bombshell memoir.
The pop icon, 41, announced Tuesday that her tell-all book “The Woman in Me” will hit bookshelves Oct. 24.
Taking to Instagram following the announcement, the “Gimme More” hitmaker said she’s had “a lot of therapy” that made her ready to take on a project this big.
“Ok guys so my book is coming out very, very soon,” she told her 42 million Instagram followers.
“I worked my ass off for this book, I had a lot of therapy to get this book done, so you guys better like it. And if you don’t like it, that’s fine too.”
The singer then posted a second video that featured her saying a near-identical sentence, but her husband Sam Asghari was heard telling her she was doing “too much” in the clip.
The clip was followed by Spears singing “Kokomo” by The Beach Boys, alluding to an upcoming trip to the Bahamas.
On Tuesday, the publishing house teased that her memoir “illuminates the enduring power of music and love — and the importance of a woman telling her own story” on her own terms.
The singer was finally freed from her “abusive” conservatorship in November 2021, which was put in place by her father, Jamie Spears, in February 2008.
Page Six exclusively reported in February 2022 that the “Toxic” singer had solidified a landmark book deal with Simon & Schuster said to be worth as much as $15 million.
In April, sources told Page Six exclusively that Britney, 41, had completed writing her memoir and that it would “shake the world.”

Britney’s latest project comes hot on the heels of her sister Jamie Lynn Spears’ own book release, titled “Things I Should Have Said.”
Britney responded by claiming Jamie Lynn’s book was filled with lies and even called her “scum.”
More recently, the singer hinted that the sisters have put an end to their feud after visiting the 32-year-old last month on the set of her Paramount+ film reboot, “Zoey 102.”
