A brawl broke out between McDonald's staff and customers after two men allegedly refused to pay for their food.
The incident took place at a McDonald's branch in Manchester City Centre at around 4am on Wednesday morning.
Shocking footage shared on Snapchat shows a security guard marching two unruly customers to the till before they start punching him.
Other McDonald's employees quickly run to his aid as one man squares up to him like in a boxing match.
Snapchat user @mamzyyy – who filmed the footage – was astonished by how the incident unfolded.
He said: “It started when the two guys didn’t pay for their food so the security took them to the till to make them pay and one of them punched one of the workers out of nowhere.
“That’s how it all started.”
The clip starts with the men being marched to the tills after not paying for their meals.
They can be heard screaming at the McDonald’s security guard, yelling: “I’ve paid for the food! I’ve paid for the f***ing food!”
The security guard politely asks the two customers to “Calm down, Calm down. Why you shouting?”
Then out of nowhere, the non-paying customers square up to the burly security guard and starts punching him.
The trio engage in a boxing-style match.
At one point, the patron in the white t-shirt throws a blow at the security guard then clumsily topples down the restaurant stairs.
Other customers can be heard shouting in shock at the ensuing brawl.
Then in the next clip, four McDonald’s employees have rushed to the security guard’s aid and they are all seen fighting the pair of customers.
Some of the staff kick the patron in the white t-shirt as he lays on the floor – whilst two other employees punch the other man as they drag him out of the restaurant.
The clip ends as @mamzyyy can be heard shouting in support of the McDonald’s staff: “Get him! Get him! Oh my God!”
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called shortly before 4.30am on Wednesday 27 March 2019 to a report of a disturbance at a restaurant on Oxford Street, Manchester City Centre.
"There were no reports of injuries and no arrests have been made.
"Police are aware of a video circulating online of the incident. Enquiries are ongoing."
A McDonald’s spokesperson said: “The safety and security of our employees and customers is our absolute priority, and it’s disappointing to see customers behaving in this way – which is absolutely unacceptable.
"The police were called to the scene and are investigating, and we are supporting our crew who were working at the time, none of whom were injured.”
