Blown Away by Alejandro Aranda’s American Idol Audition? You Need to See His Instagram
The American Idol audition rounds are always a seriously mixed bag. For every incredible talent who appears in front of the judges, there are also plenty of auditions that turn out to be disastrous, or just not quite right. Every once in a while, though, Idol comes across an unusual talent who just blows everyone away. That was definitely the case with Alejandro Aranda, whose audition for the current season 17 impressed the judges so much that they suggested it might be one of the greatest Idol auditions ever.
The 24-year-old musician auditioned with an original song, “Out Loud,” accompanying himself on the guitar. The judges were so blown away by his music and their conversation with him that they asked him to play another song on the piano. He obliged with “Cholo Love,” another of his originals. His musical talents are all the more impressive considering that he revealed he’s only been playing music for around four years.
Prior to auditioning for Idol, Aranda posted his own music on Spotify and Instagram under the handle ScaryPoolParty. In 2017, he was recognized as Artist of the Year by Five of Five Entertainment and California State University, Northridge.
