The discounts are a round-up of our best stories, as well as some smaller ones we've found that might help save you a few pennies.

If you spot a good discount that you think others might be interested in then make sure you send it our way.

You can email us via the [email protected] or post it to our money saving Facebook page.

Every week, we'll pick one post from Facebook to feature here.

We love saving money – and we know you do too.

While we promise to list the best deals, remember a discount is only really a discount if you need the item in the first place.

Oreo fans will love this tin packed with their favourite biscuit

A tin of Oreo biscuits for half price

Oreo is selling a limited edition biscuit tin for Christmas, and you can now get it for £2.50 at Tesco, down from £5.

The deal is only running until October 23 according to Tesco's website, so you'll have to be quick if you want to get your hands on it.

If you do miss out, Ocado is selling the tin at a reduced price of £3 until the end of the month.

Personalise your Quality Street tins for free at Sainsbury's

From next week, you can personalise your Quality Street tins at Sainsbury's for free, which could be the perfect Christmas gift for any chocolate fans.

The tins will set you back £7.50 each at Sainsbury's, but if you're not fussed about personalising them, you only need to pay £7 for the same tins at Asda.

Baby sale at Boots

Boots has launched a baby sale with up to half price off Tommee Tippee and Pampers, just to mention a few.

The sale runs until November 6, giving shoppers plenty of time to stock up.

Half price toys at Sainsbury's

If you haven't already got Christmas presents for the little ones wrapped up, then it's worth checking out Sainsbury's half-price toy sale.

Lots of toys are up to 50 per cent off including Disney Princes, Nerf and Barbie, while there's a third off other brands such as Paw Patrol and Lego.

The sale runs from today until October 23 and is available in stores only.

Half price toys at Tesco

Tesco has also slashed the cost of its toys by up to half price, including mega discounts on brands such as Nerf, Lego and Disney – and it's available until the end of October.

The sale will see prices slashed across 100 toys – giving parents a chance to get ahead of their Christmas shopping.

How to find the cheapest deals

  • Find the cheapest online prices: Google Shopping is a good tool for finding the cheapest price – it searches a wide range of retailers of various sizes
  • Abandon online shopping baskets: Don't go straight to check-out after putting the items in your basket – it may tease retailers into giving you discount codes
  • Ask a site to negotiate a fee for you: If you're struggling to find a deal, Flubit is a free site that aims to negotiate discounts for you
  • Sign up to retailers' newsletters for big discounts: It sometimes means a percentage discount code, or a straight discount off your first shop
  • Check when stores discount groceries: Check with your local store when they discount food items that are about to expire – this is the perfect time to nab bargains

The best of the rest

Get 10p a litre off petrol at Tesco

Motorists can save 10p a litre on petrol or diesel if they spend at least £60 online or in-store at Tesco.

The offer should be a welcome relief for motorists who have seen the cost of fuel spiral in recent months to their highest prices in four years.

Retro radio for music lovers

If you're looking to bag a bargain on your gadgets, you won't want to miss Aldi's latest offer on a retro radio for £30.

The radio combines digital and bluetooth technology, and is £120 cheaper than a Roberts one.

Cheap fireworks at Aldi

Aldi is selling a new range of fireworks, including sparklers and firecrackers – and they're perfect for bonfire night.

The prices only start at £1.29, but remember you'll need to be 18 or older to buy them.

Earn money through cashback websites

Cashback websites like Quidco and TopCashback pay you to shop through them.

To use it, you'll have to sign up to a cashback website, and then simply log in and search for the online retailer you want to buy from.

If you buy something, an amount is put into your cashback site account once the transaction has been processed.

You can withdraw this once it arrives, but keep in mind that this can take a few weeks and sometimes even months.

For some cashback sites, you need to reach a set threshold before you can withdraw, and the expected cashback isn't always guaranteed.

So it's important that you look for the best deal – and not just the biggest cashback – but if you're going to use a certain company, then it's worth checking if there's any cashback offers.

Spend over £60 at Iceland and get 10 per cent cashback

TopCashback offers new Iceland customers who spend more than £60 in one go, 10 per cent cashback – but the offer ends tomorrow so you'll need to be quick.

In other words, if you spend £70 at Iceland you'll earn £7 in cashback, simply by signing up to TopCashback.

TopCashback also offers £5 off £40 at Iceland for new customers.

Keep in mind that TopCashback calculates cashback excluding VAT and delivery charges, and that the rates can change and that the expected cashback isn't always guaranteed.

Get £20 cashback on a new phone contract

TopCashback offers new O2 customers £20 if they sign up to a monthly contract of less than £15.

But if you sign up to a monthly contract of between £40 and £44.99, you'll receive a whopping £95 in cashback.

In other words, it's the perfect opportunity to earn some money on necessities such as phone contracts.

Earn up to £20 cashback on your grocery shop

Cashback website Quidco offers various cashback deals for supermarkets – and it includes most major supermarkets such as Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's.

New customers at Tesco can get £6.50 cashback if they spend more than £45 while Asda shoppers get £6 cashback if they spend more than £25.

Meanwhile, new Sainsbury's shoppers will enjoy £5 cashback for their first online order.
