Aunt Bessie's is now doing Yorkshire pudding wraps so you can make your own at home

The frozen food brand is now selling twin-packs of Yorkshire pudding bases for £1.50 and it's encouraging shoppers to use them to make Yorkshire pudding burritos or even pizzas.

Yorkshire pudding wraps were last year's hit snack, with queues of people forming around the block at a food shop that was the first to sell them last year.

Several supermarkets jumped on the trend and launched their own versions, including Lidl, which has a giant one for Christmas, and Morrisons, which is selling a mini version you can eat like a sandwich.

Now you can create your own at home as Aunt Bessie's is selling frozen plain bases that you can then stuff with whatever filling you want.

The bases are only on sale at Morrisons for now but if they're successful, they may be rolled out to other supermarkets.

As you might expect, the bases are quite calorific, with 381 calories each.

They also contain 11g of fat each – but also 12g of protein.

Depending on your filling, it could mean that your afternoon Yorkshire pudding wrap snack could add up to a lot of calories.

Marketing director Hannah Haas told The Grocer that Aunt Bessie's hopes the bases will "inspire our shoppers to create new and innovative recipes, using the bases as burritos, wraps, pizzas and more".

Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire pudding wrap bases are a lot cheaper than a version you can buy from Eat, which only feeds one and costs £4.99.

Aldi is also selling a roast dinner stuffed inside a Yorkshire pudding and it costs just £2.49.

Bizarrely, Asda also started selling Yorkshire pudding desserts including a toffee apple crumble one and a rhubarb and ginger crumble one.
