Amazon is selling a slush puppy machine for a bargain price

IF Slush Puppies bring back fond childhood memories, you'll be pleased to know you can now make them at home.

Amazon is selling the retro-drink making machines for less than £50.

There's a few different retailers selling the slushy makers – so prices can vary.

Slush Puppie are currently selling the machine through Amazon for £49.99

But Fizz Creations has one for £47.88, which has the most customer reviews.

The description claims to make a litre of slush in just 30 minutes, but you'll need to buy syrups separately.

If you buy two 500ml bottles of the syrup – one red cherry, one blue raspberry – it'll set you back £12.99.

So you might be better off getting the Slush Puppy bundle which comes with the machine and the two flavours for just £57.99.

That's a £2.88 saving compared to buying individually.

You can also get a bundle that comes with four flavours – blue raspberry, green apple, cola and lime – and will set you back £65.99.

The machine's have had mixed reviews from customers.

Plenty have struggled with the instructions – saying that they're difficult to understand making the machine hard to use.

Jame Bowers said: "Used it a few times really need to read the booklet or watch many videos off YouTube gets easier every time>"

And reviewer A. Tabret added: "Came through, the instructions weren’t clear in the booklet so we did it wrong the first time.

"You need ice for it to work. The ice is not what goes into the slush, it’s effectively to freeze the mixture to a slush.

"I suggest watching the instruction video link in the instruction manual. I did not. I didn’t even see it until after I got it working.

"Once it started working, it was really good. Works a dream."

Many users suggested heading to YouTube for simpler explanations of how to work it.

Amanda added: "This took a bit of trial and error and YouTube videos before we managed to produce proper slush.

"Once mastered it makes great slushies.

"It is noisy but who cares? I’m keen to try it using my own cocktail mixture."
