‘My son BIT me!’ 100 people show off their scars while candidly revealing the VERY varied stories behind them – from tummy tuck surgery to self harm
- Seattle-based media company Cut.com posted a video of 100 people discussing the causes of their scars on its YouTube channel on January 27
- The participants showed their scars before telling the story behind them
- Some scars were caused by childhood accidents, while others happened in more recent years
- Several people showed scars that resulted from cooking, while others revealed scars they were left with after having operations
Whether you fall while playing in the playground as a child, or get a medical operation as an adult, everyone is bound to obtain a few scars throughout their lifetime.
A four-minute clip, created by Cut.com and posted to its YouTube channel, shows 100 people revealing their unique scars before sharing the stories behind them.
Being bitten by their child, falling on a church alter and being in the process of getting a tattoo removed are among the many reasons that a number of people in a video said they obtained scars.

The video, which was posted on January 27, features 100 different people revealing the stories behind their scars.
Many revealed that their scars come from their childhood, with one woman justifying such accidents, saying: ‘Back in the day we didn’t have helmets and all that’.

One participant said the scar on his arm resulted after he came down with a dose of the chicken pox, while another said she was involved in a playground related incident.
While pointing to the scar on her forehead, she said: ‘My brother pushed a swing into my forehead when I was a baby.’
Another added that while chasing after a Frisbee, he ran into a cement block, while one woman said: ‘My brother pushed me off of a rolling chair’.
Since it was uploaded on Sunday, the interesting video has garnered over one million views.
One woman detailed the cause of the scar on her hip, saying that her boyfriend at the time gave her a cigarette burn.
She explained: ‘I was dating a smoker. He had a bunch of cigarette burns, and I was like “oh, what does that feel like?” and he was like “here, I’ll show you”.’

In what he believes to be a karma-related incident, one man said that he stole money from a church and subsequently fell on his head.
He explained: ‘I took a dollar out of the alter, and I tripped and hit the concrete. It hit me dead in the face.
‘I put that dollar back,’ he added.

One woman, who revealed that she was in an abusive relationship, pointed out a scar that she was left with as a result of a fight with her ex-boyfriend.
‘I had a boyfriend who would punch me in the face,’ she said.
Several others revealed that their scars came as a result of self-harming.
When asked if she had any scars, one woman said: ‘Yes, I do have scars.’ She then pointed to her wrist as she said that she ‘tried to cut’ herself.
Similarly another woman revealed that her scars, which were located on her arms, were a result of a suicidal situation.
She said: ‘Just a few years ago I tried to kill myself.

Another common result of scars were car accidents. One woman revealed that her husband drove a car into a tree, while another said that she broke her femur in a car accident.
One man recalled the story behind his scar, saying that he was shot while he was riding a dirt bike.
‘When I was ten, I was out riding a dirt bikes. One of the kids got his rifle, and all of a sudden I feel this sting.
‘Blood stars pouring down my arm, and I walked in the house and my Mom saw me. She freaked out.
‘That kid got talked to. So did his parents,’ he added.
In a less serious incident, another man got one of his fingers caught in a paper shredder, and was left with a small scar on the tip of his finger.
A number of participants in the video obtained scars after having surgery.

Reconstructive surgeries, mastectomies and a tummy tuck were all among the different operations that people were left with scars on their bodies after.
Other scars resulted from freak accidents.
One woman said: ‘I was in front of my kid trying to open a toy for her.
Painful! One man got his finger caught in a paper shredder, and was left with a scar on his fingertip
‘The knife just stabbed me in the thumb, and it started squirting blood all over her toy. [The blood] hit her in the face,’ she added.
Stretch marks were another common scar that people showed on their bodies in the video.
Showing off her scar, one woman said: ‘They used to bother me a lot more, and now I’m just trying to own them.’
Another woman, who had breast implants, pointed to the area and revealed that she was left with small scars after the procedure.
She said: ‘I have two little lines underneath my boobs.’
Another woman showed a scar on her stomach, as she revealed that she had surgery to remove excess fat and skin from the area.
‘I had a tummy tuck,’ she said while holding up her shirt to reveal the scar on her lower abdomen.
