Why Bridget Everett Thinks That Amy Schumer Is ‘Made’ for Motherhood

Staying positive! Amy Schumer may be in the middle of a difficult pregnancy, but her friend Bridget Everett thinks motherhood is going to be “an amazing change” for the comedian.

“She’s, like, 10 years younger than me, but she’s always been so nurturing toward me,” Everett, 46, revealed to Us Weekly exclusively at the Casting Society of America’s 34th Annual Artios Awards in New York City on Thursday, January 31. “Her personality is to take care of those around her, and she does with very little fanfare. She’s always helping people out, and I think she’s made for this.”

That being said, it’s no secret that the Inside Amy Schumer star, 37, has had a rough pregnancy. One month after the comedian and her husband, Chris Fischer, announced in October 2018 that they have a little one on the way, Schumer was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum. This condition is characterized by severe nausea, vomiting and dehydration.

“Am I glowing yet?” the mom-to-be asked her fans in a December 2018 Instagram post. In the pic Opens a New Window. , Schumer was sitting on a couch in comfy clothes, hooked up to an IV. She followed that up with a video Opens a New Window. bent over barfing on the side of the road.

“She’s going through a tough time,” Everett admitted to Us on Thursday night. “She’s throwing up every day and she feels sick, but she’s always still, like, so much fun and funny. And she’s really excited. I think it’s going to be such an amazing change for her.”

Schumer, who is currently in her third trimester, married Fischer, 38, in a February 2018 Malibu wedding.

“People are wondering ‘Why the rush? Why so fast?’ And it’s because I truly cannot wait another second to be your wife,” the Trainwreck star told the celebrity chef in an Instagram video of her vows. “I love you.”
